Chapel

The chapel staff assist RTC in turning citizens into sailors in seven weeks. Our ministry is organized into Religious Ministry Teams (RMTs) composed of a Chaplain and a Religious Program Specialist (enlisted personnel who support the command's religious programs). You are more likely to find us in your training ship than in the chapel. We support you with counseling, pastoral care and Core Values education wherever your training takes you.

We also conduct services of worship, from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon and for holy days of obligation. No training is scheduled on Sunday mornings so that each recruit has the opportunity to worship in his or her own tradition. We have an array of Chaplains of different faith traditions and Lay Leaders approved by the Commanding Officer to provide for the widest selection of worship services possible.
