Recruit Division Commanders - (RDC's)

"At 0530 the lights flash on, I jump out of my rack and stand at general quarters awaiting further instructions. Out of the corner of my eye I see my RDC. His face was the last thing I saw last night at taps, and now here he is shaved, showered, motivated, and full of energy. His uniform is pressed with razor-sharp creases. Does he ever sleep?"

The core of Recruit Training Command Great Lakes is a group of hard-charging, highly motivated Second Class Petty Officers through Master Chiefs. These highly qualified individuals, charged with molding civilians into Sailors, are Recruit Division Commanders (RDC’s).
